One excellent way to be able to change the way we think and feel about ourselves, others or situations is by creating a daily affirmation to use for the week. Many of us have heard of using affirmations and phrases in different contexts. I often teach and encourage my clients about how to effectively and efficiently do this.
Use these following steps:
1) Identify what area or aspect of your life you’d like to work on.
2) Choose a simple phrase, such as ‘I want to feel happier and healthier’
3) Modify the language of the affirmation to be focused positively, a not so good affirmation would be ‘I don’t want to be in pain’.
4) Say the affirmation daily, a few times a day. This could be before bed, breakfast, when we wake up ect.
These simple steps are a starting point to change your life and view things in a new way.
